The VLF Transmitter Cutler is the United States Navy‘s very low frequency (VLF) station at Cutler, Maine. The station provides one-way communication to the United States strategic submarine forces.

What sweetness to a cold rainy day in which a hundred thousand fish are drawn so feverishly to reach their spawning grounds that they will swim upstream in the less than inviting weather , get lifted, tunneled, counted and sent on their way upstream to search out a warm quiet spot and lay 100,00 eggs of which maybe one survives to swim for the next generation. Everything eats alewives. For all of the fish eating animals in my watershed: happy spawning. Photographically I did not capture one fish in the glass for you to see but if you check out the monitor you can see a tail flash by.
